Waiting on staff
We are looking for enthusiastic waiting on staff to join our friendly team at the Slate Hotel on the outskirts of Bangor. Previous experience in hospitality would be advantageous, but full training will be given to the right candidates. Must have excellent customer service skills, be a good team player with a friendly personality. Punctuality and reliability are extremely important and the ability to speak Welsh highly desirable. Must be flexible to work mainly evening and weekends but daytimes too. You must be of a of smart appearance and have good knowledge of the surrounding area. Part time hours available.
A popular 11 bedroom family run Hotel, Restaurant and Bar on the outskirts of Bangor are looking for a full time Receptionist/Front of House to join our dedicated team to provide excellent customer service. Previous experience of working in a hotel front of house role is desirable and you must be available to works a shift pattern to include, early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays 5 days out of 7.
The successful candidate for this role will need to be of smart appearance, friendly and have a great personality, be bilingual in spoken Welsh and English have an excellent telephone manner. Good local knowledge of the area regarding places of interest and special events is essential as well as good computer /IT skills.
Duties will include:
Attend to all routes of hotel and restaurant bookings, such as on-line, phone and in person.
Dealing social media enquiries
Greeting and checking in and out of guests, building good relationships with customers and addressing their needs and dealing with enquiries.
Processing payments and invoicing, keeping comprehensive records of bookings for accountability and future reference.
Booking functions e.g parties, funeral teas and selling the hotels services.
Undertake general office duties, filing etc.
Reporting maintenance issues to the manager to ensure guest comfort and satisfaction
Severing of beverages and afternoon teas when busy
Keep reception area clean & tidy
